Well…here it is!
Beautiful new tub (as large as the old tub but fit the space better). New air jetted style with “tiny bubbles” run by a panel with memory so every member of the family can have their own setting. The front panel of the tub is removable so that the motor can be accessed. The tub is an under mount with a granite top for easy cleaning. No more dirty caulk!
The cabinets were custom built by a local cabinet maker. I was fortunate enough to be in on the process of staining distressing them. 20 grit sandpaper and a hammer does a great job.
We added a top center cabinet with reeded glass and a continuous wood trim to top the mirrors and house the light fixtures.
The floor is tiled with large 18” tiles in a brick pattern to give it some interest and a cohesiveness to the other decorative tiles.
Check out how open the shower looks now! Making the shower twice as large and adding a glass door and 1/2 wall makes that happen. There are two shower heads, plus a hand held. Certainly no shortage of water there.
